Kano Computer Kit Touch
As the Product Manager for Kano OS I was tasked with expanding the software experience to work brilliantly with a new touchscreen component that was being added to the hardware.
I designed several experiences to help users learn what touch was all about. When the computer is first turned on the touch screen is disabled. Then as part of the onboarding the user enables the touch screen and drags their finger across the screen to see the invisible wires that are inside of the screen.
Later the user can open an app I designed called How Touch Works. This app explains from start to finish how touchscreens work. It explains everything from how the invisible wires inside a touchscreen detect your finger to how subpixels mix together to form colors.
